Be an early bird at the Shanty!

There are so many reasons to be an early bird on Saturday, November 2. The first? Who Let The Girls Out, of course! Along with nine other shops in Newport, Shanty will be celebrating all things fun and festive with shopping, tasty treats and lots of local love. The second most important reason to roll out of bed that morning: All 16oz. espresso drinks are only $2 at Shanty from 9-10am. You can't beat that for your must-have shop-hopping caffeine boost.

We have lots of prime parking spots near the shop, so come early, snag a spot and catch all of our specials:
  • A gift with purchase (while our gift stash lasts!)
  • A whole bunch of Clearance Clothing - ALL MARKED DOWN TO $10!
  • And just in case you already forgot: 16oz espresso drinks for only $2 from 9-10am.

Newport's pulling out all of the stops for our Fall edition of WLTGO, so we're doing the same. Keep your eyes peeled for our gorgeous vintage holiday display, winter garden, new festive home goods and gifts, shiny new stocking stuffers and the treats and drinks that are always a holiday hit. Last but not least, we have to mention that there will be oodles of fall and winter clothing for you to sift through. Sweaters , Scarves, dresses, coats, denim, mittens, hats. **Insider tip: The favorites will go fast! Get your shop on that morning AFAP (AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!).**

Newport is the "It" place to be this week!

The little town on the way to the lake and river is the place to STOP this weekend. Holy smokes!... there is a lot going on in Newport and we are dang proud of our town and people and the work that has gone into getting ready for it.

Here's the scoop!

THURSDAY Oct. 31st, the local businesses are hosting trick or treating from 3-5

What a great safe way to take the kiddos out. Starts at 3. Don't forget about the businesses off the beaten path...like Shanty,  Fleur de Lis and Petticoat Junction....we have lots of candy! Oh and be nice to the businesses because we are preparing for Christmas Celebrations the next day! HAHA!

FRIDAY Nov. 1st, we are hosting the Capitol Christmas Tree Celebration

.
You probably keep hearing about it but do you know how big of a deal it is?? Seriously!? Big!! Newport is the only stop the tree will make on it's journey to the Capitol were it is uncovered/uncrated. This is an amazing opportunity for our town to shine as we host the event. News media will be here from all over. We will be hearing "Newport WA" on national news channels! That is fantastic!   What a great opportunity for the children. Newport School District is off that day....wish some of the other schools could use it as a field trip or an excused absence....maybe the kiddos have to write a report on it or something...just a hint hint idea to anyone who can make that call.

Go HERE for more info.
